Welcome to Halcy-Con 2024’s Panelist Application! We are currently going through dozens of submitted panels and roundtables and a handful of these submissions have requested that we help them find additional participants! This form will help us fill these panels with knowledgeable, creative, excited, awesome people, as well as finding enthusiastic and capable moderators for roundtable discussions!

Select the items that you would be interested in being a panelist or moderator for. (If you would like to see the descriptions for these panels and roundtables, see the Candidates Page).

When you select an item, a text box will open up. Use the text box to tell us why you are a good choice for this panel and what you would contribute. Please do not assume that we will just “know” what your strengths are – tell us about them! Some of these panels will rely on professional experience, so if you work in the relevant field, make sure we know that! Others rely on enthusiasm and non-professional experience, so show us your fanjoy!

Some panels are also still in need of a moderator. If so, there is a second checkbox, so if you are willing to moderate that panel in addition to participating, please tick that box!

If you want to participate in a roundtable, you do not need to submit an application. Just show up! Only use this form to apply for a roundtable if you want to moderate that roundtable.

Wondering what it means to moderate a panel or roundtable? Moderators will need to prepare questions in advance, play host and balance the conversation so that no one participant or clique dominates, and be willing and able to intervene in any micro-aggressions or other unsuitable behavior so that these events stay a safe space for all! If you have any questions, use the Contact Form‘s “Programming: Panels or Sessions” option to get in touch!

A panel or roundtable appearing on this list is not indicative of its ranking from the community vote and does not necessarily mean that it will appear on the final program. If we are unable to fill a panel with qualified applicants or find a moderator for a roundtable, that item will not go forward. Similarly, a panel or roundtable not appearing on this list does not necessarily mean it will not appear on the final program! Most are already filled/have moderators attached.

When applying, please use the name and email address associated with your ticket/badge. All applications must be associated with an existing ticket/badge; we cannot accept applications from anyone who does not currently hold a badge for Halcy-Con 2024.

We’re looking forward to discovering what amazing talent and experience our attendees can bring to the tables!
