Schedule

Halcy-Con 3 Schedule

The Starship Aurora boards Thursday, October 15, and the voyage runs through Saturday, October 17, at the DoubleTree by Hilton at the Entrance to Universal Orlando. This is the schedule of what’s fixed: talks, workshops, performances, meals, and the moments that bring everyone together.

It is only a fraction of what happens aboard. Between these events, the ship is alive from morning to night, with stories, people, and surprises that appear on no schedule. Plan to spend the voyage aboard, keep your CVC Navigator handy, and keep your eyes open.

Missions run Friday and Saturday, starting at 9:00 AM, 10:00 AM, 2:00 PM, and 3:00 PM; you choose yours at Faction Recruitment on Thursday night. Ship activities pause from 12:00 to 2:00 PM on Friday and Saturday for lunch.

Thursday, October 15

Badge Pickup
From 4:00 PM · Universal Registration
Pick up your badge at Universal Registration any time from 4:00 PM, even if your Boarding Group comes later.

Boarding Groups
5:00 PM – 7:00 PM · Port of Call
Passengers board the Port of Call in Boarding Groups, set by the date and time your badge was purchased. You will be contacted with your specific Boarding Group assignment.

Faction Recruitment
5:00 PM – 8:00 PM · Faction HQs & the Shrine of the Whills, Port of Call

Every faction aboard is recruiting. Visit their headquarters in the Port of Call (the Saja recruit at the Shrine of the Whills), hear their pitch, and choose the Missions you want to run. Each passenger receives Mission Tokens at check-in. To join a Mission, trade one Mission Token for
one Mission Pin for a specific run. Each run has a limited number of Pins: when a faction runs out of Pins for a run, that run is full. Your Pin is your place at that Mission’s briefing, so bring it with you. Tokens and Pins can be traded between passengers.

Once you have your Pins, log them on your Profile so your Nav can remind you where you are expected.

Spend your Mission Tokens with any faction you like. But come Saturday evening, every faction gathers at once, and you will have to choose just one.

Merchant Marketplace
5:00 PM – 8:00 PM and 8:30 PM – 11:00 PM · Merchant Marketplace (Universal D1–3)

Over twenty merchants fill the Port of Call’s Merchant Marketplace. Each merchant chooses when to open within these hours, so not every stall will be open the whole time. The Marketplace closes at 3:00 PM on Saturday, so don’t leave your shopping until the last minute.

Training Bridge
6:00 PM – 8:00 PM and 8:30 PM – 10:00 PM · Training Bridge (Gold Coast I)

The Aurora’s bridge simulator is open to every passenger. Gather a crew of up to twenty, choose a Captain, and fly a training voyage: four stops, something going wrong on the way to each, and every choice yours to make. No Mission Pin, no sign-up, and no pilot’s license required. The console runs itself.

A voyage takes about twelve minutes, and crews fly back to back. Every finished voyage ends with a code for your Nav. No two voyages are the same, so fly again as often as you like. The Aurora remains safely docked, and everything on the viewscreen is a simulation. Captain Keevan
grades every crew. She has never once rounded up.

Ship Maintenance
6:00 PM – 8:00 PM and 8:30 PM – 10:00 PM · Ship Maintenance (Gold Coast II)

Meet an Engineer! Every passenger is welcome to tour a working ship’s Maintenance Room and see what keeps the Aurora humming, whether the Engineers know you’re stopping by or not. No Mission Pin and no sign-up required.

Sessions run back to back, about thirty minutes each, for up to twenty passengers. Touch only what the Engineers hand you. Every session ends with a code for your Nav. Nothing will go wrong. In the unlikely event that something does, you’ll have a front-row seat for the action and a significant share of the blame. But it’ll be fine. Totally fine.

CSL Gallery
6:00 PM – 8:00 PM and 8:30 PM – 10:00 PM · CSL Gallery (Space Coast II)

The Chandrila Star Line presents the Shrine of the Whills Exhibition, including the complete Long Road of Veyra: all nine paintings, together.

Ni’Cole Dayba, CVC Concierge, leads guided tours of the exhibition. Each tour runs about 30 minutes. Can’t make one? The placard at the entrance tells you how to take the tour on your Nav, any time the Gallery is open.

Sabacc for Charity: Open Gaming
7:15 PM – 8:00 PM and 8:30 PM – 10:00 PM · Sabacc Den (Universal C1–3)

Pull up a seat at the Sabacc for Charity Cantina in the Port of Call and play a hand. Closed during the Voyage Muster.

Voyage Muster
8:00 PM – 8:30 PM · Atrium (Seminole C)

The voyage officially begins. Every passenger gathers in the Atrium for the scene that sets the story in motion. Every show space closes during the Muster, so don’t miss it.

The Wretched Hive
8:45 PM – 9:45 PM · Atrium (Seminole C)

“A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away…” The Wretched Hive — a “100% totally legitimate cargo ship” — is stranded on a backwater system in the Outer Rim. Its smuggler crew has no other recourse but to perform some of their favorite shanties for the locals in order to raise the
credits for repairs. Featuring original songs (including Hondo Ohnaka, Old Man Thrawn, and Hydian Way), they present a shanty showcase of galactic proportions.
