In Immersive Experiences there is an aptly-named technique: “call it what it is”. And since no matter how many sets we build, missions we create, and activities we bring, attendees will still be able to look out some venue windows and what will they see? Blue sky (hopefully), a pool and palm trees in a fun resort!
Well, that sounds exactly like the planet of Niamos to us, and that’s where the action of Halcy-Con 3 takes place! Chandrila Star Line has recently completed construction of the N’Orlando Port of Call on Niamos…just in time for the Inaugural Voyage of the newest vessel in their fleet: the Starship Aurora!
PLEASE NOTE: While rumors persist that something incredible was discovered during construction of the N’Orlando Port of Call, Chandrila Star Line has not yet confirmed or denied this…

The Halcy-Con 3 team is very excited to unveil the CVC Nav to the Halcy-Con 3 attendees. You’ll be hearing a lot about Nav between now and October but here’s a sneak peek at one fun element of what is awaiting you at the event!

What is the CVC Nav? Nav is your handheld themed event digital companion that enables and unlocks many additional layers of fun at Halcy-Con 3.
Does Nav cost anything extra for event attendees? No! Nav is provided free to all event badgeholders.
What does Nav do? Lots! Here is just a small sample of it’s features:
- Holds the public event schedule and also tracks secret meetings and activities you have been invited to or pre-registered for.
- Adds an extra interactive layer in Missions that are led by Faction lead characters. There are over 20 different types of puzzles that have been custom built to perform special tasks!
- Providing many themed “Jobs” that allow event characters to send you on solo tasks.
- Lets characters at the event send you messages that keep you informed of many different happenings all over the Starship Aurora and Port of Call.
Can people use Nav that are not attending the event? No, Nav is solely for use by event attendees. All event attendees will receive a one-time activation code in their welcome packet to activate Nav on their device.
How do I know if Nav can run on my device? Nav has been specially created to work on a very wide range of mobile phones. In August we are going to send out a link to a “Nav Preflight” page that enables you to do a quick and easy check to make sure your phone is Nav-ready for the event!
